Craig's Words

Pandemic

It's been hard!
This will be the hardest news I have ever written to date. It has been three years since the last update. The reason why as I am sure you can guess is the Pandemic set back. We have lost so many people during that time. Some to covid others to other health issues. With that said PLEASE understand and accept my sympathies and prayers if someone you know and love has passed since we last met.

Mom & Dad

Since the last site update I have lost both Mom and Dad. Neither had covid. Other health issues caught up with them. Mom was at one time my fan club president back when The International Fan Club Organization (IFCO) was active and before social media. She traveled with me to Nashville and other places and was a huge help to me. My Dad was always there for me, and he attended almost every show I performed at. I miss them both dearly.

Retirement
NO not me, LOL. But rather my wife, Sandy. I have never known personally or otherwise of anyone with a work ethic like hers. In the forty plus years I have known her I only recall her missing a few days of work. Sandy loves her garden and it, kids, grand kids, grand dogs, and me are keeping her busy. She did take five weeks this winter and spent them in Florida with her sisters. She loved it but not enough to become a true snowbird. She has also done some traveling with her friends that she worked with and has been active with school mates as well.

Me

I am still working driving school bus. Might drive another year, maybe more. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the music business would change as much as it has in the last couple of years. Several of the events I took for granted, are either gone or they have changed promoters and I have not been contacted. I believe it has been caused by the pandemic. With that said the Calendar page shows what I have booked so far but more dates might be added so check my Facebook page and this site for up-dates.

You

You may be able to help. Most of you know the venues I have played over the years. I am truly very thankful for the events I am still being booked for, like The Erie Co Fair, the Tuscarora Field days, Akron 4th of July and The Calvary Community Chapel corn roast and others. They mean a lot to me, and I hope to see you at them. However, there are some that might need a shout out from you, a phone call, a text any contact, even a good old-fashioned letter or note of concern. As I mentioned some of the venues have likely changed staff and those people may have no idea who I am and that you want to see me at your favorite venue. Some of you are “new” to this website if so welcome. Others have supported me for many years and again I thank you for your loyalty.
Sincerely, Craig
